What are you doing?
Luke 9:1-4,"Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece. And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart."
Yeshua/Jesus "called" his disciples to him. He "Equipped" them with what they'd need for their mission. He "Sent" them into the world to Preach the gospel and help those in need.
Luke 9:10-11," And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida. And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing."
Yeshua/Jesus went into a desert and, yet, the multitudes still followed him even there! They were the harvest he mentioned in Matt. 9:37-38. They are hungry for love, but they will look in all the wrong places for it. Why do you think there are so many people struggling with Sex out of marriage, doing drugs, Homosexuality, Etc,etc? These people do these things for attention, to forget about the hardness of life, the terrible things they've been through.
They are STARVING for love and attention and, yet, we refrain from telling them the truth about the love of Christ. You might be a "good" person, a Leader, a Role model for many... but if you can't share the Love of Christ with somone who needs it...You are as NOTHING!!!
I don't care what you think you have over them, they may be dirty, ugly, big and intimidating, but God looks at the heart. In his eyes they are Hurting people who NEED his love. He shared his love with us, but we don't share it with those who need it.
I struggle with this myself. I was suddenly STRUCK with the realization of a great CRISIS at youth group on Monday night. There' s a small group of teens that sit in the back of the room, gabbing away, talking on their cell phones, laughing at those who are trying to worship. They don't know Christ, maybe they did at one time, but they don't show forth his love for those around them. They don't seem to know the Joy that comes from knowing God. I love my God so much, and i want to make his name known throughout the world! But, how can i hope to do that when i can't even talk to the lost in my own youth group?
I have been "Called" by Jesus, "Equipped" with his word, and he has "sent me to this group. Doesn't that mean somthing? He Called, Equipped and Sent me. But, I'm not doing what he sent me for, Why? There's no GOOD reason for it, that's for sure.Casey taught that their soul will be on our hands if we don't warn them of the danger they are in. If we warn them and they still turn from HIM we have our hands clean, but atleast they had the opportunity to hear the truth from us and accept it.
They will be going to eternal damnation, hell, a lake of an eternal, unquenchable fire. Do you want to have the guilt of knowing you could have saved them? I don't. so SPEAK! Do what God sent us out to do! show them the love of Christ. He died for them, and we need to show them that it meant somthing!
Please, speak to the lost, the bruised, the broken, the poor and needy. They need HIM and HIS love, but they don't realize it.
Some of them will come up to the front to pray/be prayed for. But, some of them would glance at each other and, while up there, they'd start laughing! It was like they were making a mockery of God and HIS people.
They came to youth group, but are blinded by those they came with. They can't see what's right in front of them! Or maybe, we're just not showing it enough.
On Sunday Pastor Lauren Taught about Fruit, He spoke on sharing your faith. He said if you just sit down somwhere with your bible and ask God to bring somone for you to be a witness to, He will do it. He will and HAS. There are people at church and Youth Group that need to accept Christ and his love for them.
Matthew 5:14-16," Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
If you have a candle and all the lights go out, do you just hide your candle? NO, you take it into the rest of the house, so that everyone may have light. Christ is the light of the world, but we "Christians" keep hiding his light, keeping it to ourselves. Those around us have no idea of the GREAT JOY and LOVE and PEACE we have. WE are not the answer, but the problem, we HAVE the answer though. Now let's share the answer with those who really need it.
All you need is: to be called by christ, Equipped by HIS word, and Sent to a place you are needed at.I have been all those things, so I need to stop fooling around and do what i was meant to do! How about you? Are you a hearer of the word or a doer? Proove it, proove yourself a doer; a child of Christ.

A RED FRIDAY forward i recieved today...
Will you give this to my Daddy?
As a Company, Southwest Airlines is going to support 'Red Fridays.'
Last week I was in Atlanta , Georgia attending a conference. While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer. I immediately turned around and witnessed one of the greatest acts of patriotism I have ever seen.
Moving through the terminal was a group of soldiers in their camos. As they began heading to their gate, everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly to their feet with their hands waving and cheering.
When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and cheered for, it hit me. I'm not alone. I'm not the only red-blooded American who still loves this country and supports our troops and their families.
Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so we can go to school, work and home without fear or reprisal.
Just when I thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our service men and women, a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old, ran up to one of the male soldiers. He kneeled down and said 'hi.'
The little girl then asked him if he would give something to her daddy for her.
The young soldier, who didn't look any older than maybe 22 himself, said he would try and what did she want to give to her Daddy.. Then suddenly the little girl grabbed the neck of this soldier, gave him the biggest hug she could muster and then kissed him on the cheek.
The mother of the little girl, who said her daughter's name was Courtney, told the young soldier that her husband was a Marine and had been in Iraq for 11 months now. As the mom was explaining how much her daughter Courtney missed her father, the young soldier began to tear up.
When this temporarily single mom was done explaining her situation, all of the soldiers huddled together for a brief second. Then one of the other servicemen pulled out a military-looking walkie-talkie. They started playing with the device and talking back and forth on it..
After about 10-15 seconds of this, the young soldier walked back over to Courtney, bent down and said this to her, 'I spoke to your daddy and he told me to give this to you.' He then hugged this little girl that he had just met and gave her a kiss on the cheek. He finished by saying 'your daddy told me to tell you that he loves you more than anything and he is coming home very soon.'
The mom at this point was crying almost uncontrollably and as the young soldier stood to his feet, he saluted Courtney and her mom. I was standing no more than 6 feet away from this entire event.
As the soldiers began to leave, heading towards their gate, people resumed their applause. As I stood there applauding and looked around, there were very few dry eyes, including my own. That young soldier in one last act of selflessness, turned around and blew a kiss to Courtney with a tear rolling down his cheek.
We need to remember everyday all of our soldiers and their families and thank God for them and their sacrifices. At the end of the day , it's good to be an American.
RED FRIDAYS ----- Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the 'silent majority'. We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers.
We are not organized, boisterous or over-bearing We get no liberal media coverage on TV, to reflect our message or our opinions.. Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops.
Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday -and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that.. Every red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar will wear some thing red.
By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers.
If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, co-worker s, friends, and family. It will not be long before the USA is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once 'silent' majority is on their side more than ever; certainly more than the media lets on.
The first thing a soldier says when asked 'What can we do to make things better for you?' is...We need your support and your prayers.Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example; and wear something red every Friday.

What makes us, as believers, Above Tribulation when Christians all over the world are suffering, can you HONESTLY say that you have reached a point of complete CONFORMITY TO CHRIST'S IMAGE?
Have you been tried by fire, are you as fine gold? Consider these questions as we go into this...
First off, the whole idea of "Rapture" didn't even come about till the late 1800's, and didn't reach America till the 1880's! We all agree Christ is coming again, and it will be very soon!
Millions of Godly believers didn't hold to pre-tribulation rapturism for 1800 years! now that's a long time :)Such as :John Wesley, Charles Wesley, Charles Spurgeon, Matthew Henry, John Knox, John Hus, William Carey, John Caluin, Isaac Newton, George Whitfield, A.B. Simpson,George Mueller, John Newton, Jonathon Edwards, John Wycliffe, John Bunyan, & the list goes on, and on , and on :)
they had the same Word of God and yet NEVER came to this sort of conclusion. Nor did they believe in the doctrine of immanency( the belief that Christ could appear at ANY moment without the need for any kind of Prophesied event occurring first). You can read their writings for evidence. :)
The Great Tribulation is only 3 1/2 years.
Different from "tribulation"Trials/ Tribulation: Hard times, Lost your job, pet dies, lose a friend because of standards, cancer scares... etc, etc, etc...
Tribulation before Great Tribulation is also known as the "Birth Pangs", as my mom likes to put it,or the Beginning of Sorrows ( note Matt. 24 for those signs read to verse 8, then read on). Note, there is NO mention of the Rapture! :)
the church confuses tribulation w/ God's Wrath. The day of the Lord is God's Wrath, which he pours out at the end of the Great Tribulation. the word says that we will endure tribulation ( John 16:33, Acts 14:22, Rom. 5:3-5 and vs. 9, Rom. 12:12, 1 thess. 3:4, 2Cor. 1:4).
A lot of Believers are afraid of "Great Tribulation" or being tribulation saints. They Advocate Pre- Tribulation Rapture. The prophecy's speak of a great falling away of the faith at that time. :( . Can you stop for a moment and imagine all the believers that have put thier faith in the belief that they're gettin' out of here, and the disappointment they will feel when they witness the the Anti-Christ breaking the covenant of peace and setting up his image? Some will deny the faith completely, we know somone who told us personally that if Christ doesn't come and take us out by then their faith will be shaken! THIS IS A DANGEROUS DOCTRINE!!! We should be HUMBLY on our knees Repenting and preparing for the way that will be the most challenging in the History of mankind, yet instead we sleep saying wake me up with the trumpet blast cuz I'll be ready to go !
Some Argue that the church HAS to be gone because the Holy Spirit has left the Earth during the Tribulation period according to 2 Thess. 2:1-8 ( Specifically verse 7), speaking of the restrainer being removed ( i.e. The Angel Micheal).Has there been a mass falling away yet? the man of sin been revealed?According to the Strongs, "The letteth will let" of verse 7 in the greek is the word Katecho 2722# which means to Have, to hold fast, to retain, stay, take, withold.
Does this sound like the Holy Spirit? not at all, Orthodox as well as messianic scholars understand this verse well, as they understand the earliest writings in Aramaic, the equivalent word is the word for Micheal the Arch Angel who will leave his watch here on earth as Satan os before God's throne accusing God's people to a point that Micheal has torestrain him and permanently Kick him out of heaven. this is where the word comes in and says (Rev. 12:7-12 Please Read).
The Restrainer is Micheal. Not the Holy Spirit. this makes sense. If th echurch is gone & the Holy Spirit is gone How can ANYONE RECIEVE truth that leads to Salvation during the tribulation?A really goo reference book is The Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church by Martin Rosenthal. Great book! :)
Please feel free to ask questions, or leave comments... God Bless :)

Life is difficult, but we can help.
like i tell myself a lot, "Life is Hard." But, as young people we can help make it better. we are the future, we can make a difference, we could stop abortion, sex out of wedlock, lesbianism, gay rights, etc, etc, etc.
However, we need to stand together as one, as children of God, as a nation. we need to not be afraid to speak for what is right. We, as christians, CANNOT compromise our beliefs, we are called to be a light to the nations, a city set on a hill.
We need to speak, to stand out, to dress, act, talk different from everyone else.
I Love the Lord, and i want the world to see him in my life, to see that i'm different from them, that i have somthing special that they don't got.
I feel so complete because i've got him. He is so amazing. And i feel as though i've found somthing that takes years for most to find. They are looking for it, they Want it. we have it, but, we aren't sharing it with the world. This NEEDS to be shared!
if we were to tell just one person a day about Christ, don't you think it would make your whole day worth while? We need to start with the little things in life, before we can hope to change anything else...

What! your life hard? oh, please...!
"Count it all joy my brethren, when ye face diverse trials and temptations."
We are to count it all joy when life gets tough. Read 1 Peter 4:12-16. If life is hard becaus ewe've commited a crime, then we aught to be punished and feel deeply ashamed.
But, if we are being persecuteed for the name of christ we are to be joyful. For he suffered for us, how can we expect to do less?
I once heard a man say, " If you don't know somone who hates you for your faith, you aren't doing somthing right." However, Jesus himself said to live peaceably with all men. Is this a contradiction of scripture? Absolutely not! We are to live as peaceably with our fellow men as possible, but, we are NOT to compromise on our beliefs and convictions.
Yahweh says to stand firm in the faith and trust of Jesus Christ. If the ONLY way to live peaceably with somone is to compromis....THen don't do it! But, be sure to return evil with blessings, and turn the other cheek.
Ok, now... " Life seems so hard, why do we have to bother with a lot of this stuff?" Well, i got somthing to say to that. there are people in North Korea that are being torn from their homes, thrown into prison, beaten severely, and even executed in Horrifiing ways, and all for their faith. Little children are running into the vast jungles and are either caught and killed, pounced upon and eaten by wild animals such as lions and tigers, Or are living in constant fear for their lives Every Day.
And we have the Audacity to say our lives are hard! we are so Self-centered (I'm including myself in that statement).
We could be passing out tracts, feeding the hungry, helping out at an orphanage or working at ahomeless shelter! And yet, we'd rather waste time sleeping or watching television, as mom and dad gaze at us to catch our eye balls when they fall out.
People! Get off your sofas, stop being depressed or just down right lazy, or even whatever you're doing that is not absolutely essential for life, and go tell somone about Christ, or even just leave a chick tract on your neighbors porch.
My friends, do you want to have to face God on judgement day and say you've been waiting for him on your couch in front of the tv! Listen to those in authority over you, those who encourage your life with Christ. Talk to your parents, teachers, believing friends, you are more than welcome to come and talk to me if you wish it. But, talk to those who Will SHARPEN you in the faith and love of Jesus Christ.
Study your bible daily, it's the best and most amazing gift you'll ever recieve.
"To him who has ears, let him hear"

He is beautiful...
You notice when somone you like (like a close friend) enters a room, the whole room looks more inviting and welcome. When you enter somone's house, and you don't know anyone other than the host at the party, and the host comes to the door and greets you, don't you feel so much more comfortable?
"He is beautiful"... I love that song. My Saviour is Beautiful, and he's always standing at the door waiting to greet me and pull me in.He makes me feel welcome in His house. He introduces me to all kinds of people he cares about.
When I look at this life, and things seem so grim, I look for His presence through it all, and i am no longer troubled. He is so beautiful to me that once He's been spotted everything looks so much more welcoming. Where can darkness hide once the light has entered in?
He is Beautiful Sweet, sweet song.He is beautiful sweet, sweet song,You are beautiful sweet, sweet song,And i'll sing it again...I LOVE YOU LORD!!! AMEN!!!?!!!?!!!

What is life?
What is life, but a vapor in the wind?
To the world, this life is all there is. There is no point or special purpose for man. We're just here because a bunch of non-existent particles ran into each other resulting in a big BANG! which created all life over millions and millions of years. If you view life from that perspective, there's really no reason for you to bother with friends, relationships with one another, let alone a God that may or may not exist. If everyone believed this, our world would go into absolute CAOS!!! No one would care about right and wrong, Morality, No one would mess with helping the Poor & Needy, or the orphaned AIDS victims. Why should they? What would be the point in the first place, everyine's gotta die some day right?
But, if you look at it from a biblical view, God made life, God made man in His image, God has appointed certain people for specific tasks. He saved Moses from the wrath of Pharoah, Because he had a purpose for him. He saved Noah and his family, Because He had a design for their lives. He allowed the priests to bring the book of the law to King Josiah so He could turn the people of Judah back to God. THis list is just endless! He has also ordained young people NOW a days for special tasks, but YOU must yield to His will, "Abba, Father, Not my will, But thy will be done."-Jesus.
You must honour Him and give him the honour and the glory for every good thing, so that He may work through you. He has given us freedom of choice as well as our own reasoning abilities. Therefore, He will not make you do somthing you are unwilling to do, even though He does have the power to do so. He will give you a choice, if you submit to his will you will most likely experience VERY HARD TIMES, but He PROMISES to bring us through. Also, if you are a believer,we have an ETERNITY to spend with Him when we die, But the unbelieving have NOTHING to look forward to.God has made a way for them, but they need us to reveal it to them. How can you hear somthing if no on e speaks it? You must speak the truth, or they will never know it. Do you want to have the guilt of their souls on your heart, Because you didn't speak?"He who has an ear, let him hear."

greed
The bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil, but, does that mean money is the only root? no. there are many different roots that lead to evil ( such as jealousy, bitterness, anger, pride,etc...)
many people in the world are made to suffer because of our actions. therefore we should take guard againstsuch a thing as greed, and remember what it says in 1 timothy 6:10 " for the love of money is the root of all evil: whichwhilesome coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
TAKE HEED!!!

modesty
1 Timothy 1:9,
" In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety, not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array."
my dad and i agreed that this basicly means that we shouldn't dress in a way that draws attention to ourselves, or that we offend others by makeing them feel inferior, or that attracts somones focus to the wrong parts of our body...you know?
